Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make longitudinal rigidity in a front-wheel suspension variable as well as to prevent the occurrence of a flutter phenomenon even in any car speed range, by letting a regulating member retractably come into contact with a suspension arm on the basis of a car speed, in case of the independent suspension type front-wheel suspension. CONSTITUTION:When a take-up roller 23 does not operate, a regulating member 17 is situated in the position pressed to a washer 21 by a compression spring 19, so that a fixed width space is kept between the regulating member 17 and a receiving surface of a reguration receiving part 15. Therefore, a regulating shaft 13 as well as a suspension arm will not receive any regulation, so that this arm is allowed to do longitudinal linear inching and oscillating jogging. On the other hand, when a car speed comes nearer to the specified value, the take-up roller 23 operates on the basis of a signal out of a sensor 24 detecting this, and a rope member 22 is wound up as long as the specified length. Therefore, since the regulating member 17 is pressed by the receiving surface 16, the oscillating jogging in the suspension arm is regulated.
