To obtain a waterproof cover structure which can be constructed in a simple construction process, and is excellent in waterproof performance, weatherability, and reinforceable property, by placing, on the upper surface of an existing roof, a hard FRP molded plate which is molded into a shape almost similar to an uneven banded shape of the existing roof.
A hard FRP molded plate 11 is molded into a shape which generally traces an uneven banded shape of an existing roof 1, i.e., a shape having convex strip portions 11a which can house convex strip portions 4 and flat portions 11b which can be overlapped on flat bottoms 5a of concave strip portions 5, so as to cover the upper surface of the existing roof 1 of a batten seam type, in a manner fitting the concave and convex portions in and on those of the counterpart. The hard FRP molded plate 11 is attached to the upper surface of the roof 1 with an elastic adhesive 13. Then, an FRP lining is applied to a joint between edges 11d of the adjacent hard FRP molded plates 11 to be combined in one body. Thus, the hard FRP molded plates having the same quality can be combined with each other in one body, to thereby obtain a preferable FRP waterproof cover structure having sufficient waterproof performance, reinforced strength, weatherability, corrosion resistance, light weight, etc.
