To provide a fuel cell electrode excellent in durability against fuel and industrial productivity, and to provide a fuel cell using the same.
The fuel cell electrode comprises a catalyst layer composed of metal particles and/or metal carrying particles and a binder, and the binder contains alkylcellulose having an ionic group. The fuel cell using the fuel cell electrode is provided.
