Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a fuel cell in which the accuracy of lamination of a separator and MEA constituting the fuel cell and the cycle time are compatible, and to provide a fuel cell manufactured by that method.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a fuel cell includes: a seal member arrangement step of arranging a seal member 30 which seals the outer periphery of adjacent separators 13, 14, or the outer periphery of adjacent separator and an MEA 11 between the adjacent separators 13, 14, or between the adjacent separator and the MEA on the outside of the power generation region of the MEA during lamination; and a positioning member arrangement step of arranging a positioning member 40 which performs positioning of the adjacent separators or the adjacent separator and the MEA between the adjacent separators or between the adjacent separator and the MEA on the outside of the power generation region and on the inside of the position where the seal member is arranged.
