To provide a fuel cell power generating system capable of adjusting fuel supply to a combustion part of a reformer by easily responding to load fluctuations for a fuel cell.
This fuel cell power generating system is formed by providing a reforming part 1 to produce hydrogen enriched reformed gas from raw fuel, a reformer 3 having a combustion part 2 to supply heat to the reforming part 1 and a fuel cell 4 to generate electricity by using the reformed gas produced in the reformer 3, in order to supply fuel for combustion and unused gas exhausted from the fuel cell 4 to the combustion part 2 and burn it. Fuel supply to the combustion part 2 can be adjusted according to an output change caused by load fluctuation of the fuel cell 4, by keeping a supply flow rate of the raw fuel supplied to the reforming part 1 at a fixed level and controlling the supply rate of the fuel for combustion to the combustion part 2 according to an output of the fuel cell 4, and only by controlling the flow rate of the fuel for combustion supplied to the combustion part 2 according to combustion calories of unused gas exhausted from the fuel cell 4.
