Title:
FUEL INJECTION APPARATUS FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5937260
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To facilitate layout of a fuel injection apparatus to the body of an internal combustion engine, by reducing the axial length of the fuel injection apparatus as small as possible.

CONSTITUTION: A fuel pump 11 and a lubricating oil pump 12 are fixed to opposite side walls 17, 17 of a cam chamber 15 formed in the pump body 1 at the same axial position of a cam shaft 7, and they are driven by the same cam plate 8. Further, a timer means is attached at one side of the cam shaft 7 of a fuel injection pump Z. A solenoid valve is controlled by a controller on the basis of the advance angle of the fuel injection timing detected by a rotation sensor on the driving side and that of a driven side and the engine speed detected by the rotation sensor on the driving side or other means. Here, since the rotation sensor on the driving side and that of the driven side are both positioned within the axial length of the timer means, the entire axial length of the timer means can be reduced as small as possible.
