Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that erosion caused by cloud cavitation which periodically occurs in an injection period of fuel injected from an injection hole of a fuel injection nozzle is extremely serious hitherto, and when the damage of a wall face of an injection hole flow passage is large, there occurs such a malfunction that normal fuel injection is not performed.SOLUTION: A fuel injection nozzle comprises a salient part 51 which is salient toward an injection hole passage 6 from an injection hole upper wall 45 of the injection hole passage 6, and extends in an injection hole axis (HL) direction in a region of an upper half of the injection hole passage 6 of an injection hole 5 when a nozzle center axis (CL) direction of a nozzle body 3 is set as a vertical direction. When a total length of the injection hole flow passage 6 is set as L, the salient part 51 is set within a prescribed range (not shorter than 0.2L in length in the injection hole axial direction) out of a region from a position (0.5L) of a half of the total length of the injection hole flow passage 6 up to a position (1.0L) of an injection hole outlet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
