Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the injection timing of an in-line fuel injection pump for a diesel engine to be controlled precisely.

CONSTITUTION: A weight 15 is opened by centrifugal force in association with rising of revolution of a diesel engine. A first eccentric pine 20, a first eccentric cam 13, a second eccentric cam 14, and a second eccentric cam 14 are operated in response to the weight 15, and the rotational phase angle of a cam shaft 8 corresponding to a flange 10 is displaced to a fuel injection timing spark- advance side. In this case, first correction is added to injection timing characteristic, so that an injection timing is advanced in association with the rising of revolution of the engine. When a hydraulic correction device 30 is operated, second correction is added by driving power of a cam rod 44, a pin 48, and a sleeve 50 so as to open the weight 15, namely the injection timing is advanced.
