To effect atomization of fuel and stabilize an injection direction by providing the opening end on the outflow side of a nozzle hole, formed in a nozzle plate, with a chamfered part in an arcuate shape in cross section.
In a valve casing 1 of a fuel injection valve, a nozzle plate 15 is mounted in a state to be positioned on the tip side of a valve seat member 7 and arcuate chamfered parts 18 formed approximately in an arcuate shape and enlarging the nozzle holes 16 and 17 are formed at the opening ends on the outflow side of the nozzle holes 16 and 17. This constitution determines an injection flow rate and the injection direction of fuel by the nozzle holes 16 and 17 and with this state, can spread an injection pattern of fuel to a specified region by the arcuate chamfered part 18, and can holds its injection direction stably as coupling of fuel particles is suppressed and atomization of fuel is accelerated.
