PURPOSE: To supply high-pressure oil stably by a constitution wherein the fuel in a variable displacement chamber is pressurized by an elastic member such as a spring or the like through a piston while the piston is driven by a driving means such as a cam or the like into a direction expanding variable displacement.
CONSTITUTION: When a key switch is put ON and an acceleration pedal 47 is trodden to the maximum upon starting an engine, a cam shaft 40 is moved to the right and an armature 43 is held by the electromagnetic force of a solenoid 44 at a position whereat a gap (g) becomes zero. At this moment, the ring section 22 of a hanger arrives at a small diametral section 41 and the piston is descended by the spring 13 thereby pressurizing the fuel in the variable displacement chamber 11. When cranking is effected under this condition, the high pressure fuel is supplied to a fuel injection valve and the engine is started. Thereafter, the volume of the variable displacement chamber 11 is expanded or contracted by the ascending and descending of the piston through a lever 50 engaging with a pair of cam rollers 61, 62 on a lever cam shaft 60 operated in conjunction with the revolution of the engine.
