Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a fuel tank fitting structure of an automobile in which the inward falling of a suspension tower is restrained.

CONSTITUTION: A fuel tank 1 is held between left and right rear suspension towers 2L and 2R that have been arranged so as to be inwardly inclined in the width direction of a vehicle, and is arranged in the upper region of rear side frames, 3L, 3R. Both ends of an upper closed sectional part 1a that has been formed on the upper side of the fuel tank 1 are connected to the upper parts of the rear suspension towers 2L, 2R via tank-fitting upper brackets 4L, 4R. Further, both ends of a lower closed sectional part 1b that has been formed on the lower side of the fuel tank 1 are connected to the rear side frames 3L, 3R via tank-fitting lower brackets 6L, 6R.
