PURPOSE: To improve cooperativeness between drawing work and function selecting work and to improve working efficiency by displaying a function selection picture with a noticed position on the way of drawing as an origin and selecting this picture by a position designator.

CONSTITUTION: When a prescribed input is executed in a certain position on a drawing face by the position designator, the function selection picture is displayed on a two-dimensional picture of a picture processing device corresponding to this position (S1). When a position on the drawing face corresponding to a part of this displayed function selection picture is designated by the position designator (S2), the function patterned in this designated part of the function selection picture is executed by the picture processing device (S3). Thus, the cooperativeness between the drawing work and the function selecting work is improved and improves the work efficiency.
