Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an exhaust port from clogging.
SOLUTION: A furnace for melting wastes is characterized in that it includes a main body 11 which holds liquid metal, a heating means 12 which is placed outside the main body 11 and dissolves the wastes poured into it and an exhaust device 13 which is located in the lower part of the main body 11, the exhaust device 13 exhausts the liquid metal from the lower part of the main body 11 and has an exhaust nozzle 15 filled with heat-resistant sand, an arm 17 with an openable and closable lid for opening and closing the tip of the exhaust nozzle 15 and a driving means which is connected with the arm 17 and actuates it in an exhaust passage, the length of an exhaust part of the exhaust nozzle 15 is 150 mm or longer and the diameter of it is 50 mm or longer.
