PURPOSE: To work a heavy work highly efficiently and highly accurately by a mechanism wherein the work is fixed to a bed for fixation while a model is settled to another fixing bed and a profile tracer head following the profile is interlocked with a cross slider of a double housig type column.
CONSTITUTION: A base 12 for mounting a work is installed to a bed 11 fixed onto a base, and a profile is fixed onto another mounting base 19. A double housing type column 15 is provided with a cross slider 16, a profile tracer head 21 with a stylus 20 is interlocked whith a head stock 18 with a main shaft 17, and the work fixed onto the base 12 is profile-worked. The accuracy of finishing is improved because the variation of inertia to a moving shaft is not generated due to the weight of the work and the profile.
