To provide a garbage treating method and an apparatus therefor which are not influenced by characteristics of garbage, amount of the garbage, outside air temperature or the like, that is, to provide the garbage treating method and the apparatus therefor by which garbage treating situation is monitored and treating temperature or the like is controlled to raise a treatment function.
In the garbage treating method and the apparatus therefor by which the garbage 3 put in a treating tank 4 is heated by a heating means (a heater 32), maximum heating temperature and minimum heating temperature are set to the heating temperature of the heating means. When treatment of the garbage is started, the maximum heating temperature is set to the heating means and heating treatment is started. During treatment at the maximum heating temperature, a peak value of the treating temperature is detected based on detection of rise and fall of treating temperature in the treating tank. When the peak value of the treating temperature arises on the way of heating treatment at the heating temperature set to the heating means, the heating temperature is changed only by prescribed temperature range and the heating treatment is performed.
