PURPOSE: To improve the treating capacity of garbage by not only eliminating a vessel for primarily storing the refuse but also obviating the transfer of the refuse to a drying cage.

CONSTITUTION: A garbage disposer body 1 comprises a drying furnace 2 which has a drying cage 3 for containing garbage and a heater 6 for heating to dry the refuse. Agitating blades for agitating the refuse are rotatably provided in the cage 3. An agitating motor 4 for applying a rotary force to the blades is disposed under the furnace 2. The cage 3 is so constructed as to be installed in the drain port of a sink as a strainer, and detachably provided in the furnace 2. A pickup door 7 for picking up the cage 3 out of the body 1 is openably mounted on the front surface of the body 1.
