To provide a garbage treatment apparatus that can minimize the generated smell at decomposition of garbage, in which the cleaning of residual garbage after the garbage is decomposed is easy, and that can be mounted easily to an existing sink.

The garbage treatment apparatus includes: a stirring container 10 including microorganism that decomposes garbage, a filter 30 that supports garbage to be isolated from a bottom, and a discharge passage that is located at a lower part of the filter and that discharges residual garbage after being decomposed by the microorganism that has been filtered through the filter to a sewage entrance; a stirring shaft 40 rotatably disposed at the stirring container, and including a stirring blade 41 that stirs the garbage and the microorganism fed into the stirring container; and a water injector part 500 connected with the stirring shaft and including a speed reduction motor 42, an upper nozzle 23 that jets water in the inside of the stirring container, and a lower nozzle 26 that jets water to the residual garbage located in a lower part of the filter in a direction in which the discharge passage is located, and that discharges the residual garbage to the sewage entrance.
