To provide a gas leakage detection system which is capable of detecting gas leak, even in a place at which power cannot be supplied.
The gas leakage judging function and alarm function (alarm sound generation, alarm lamp indication) to be built in a gas leakage alarm are omitted to provide a battery-drivable power-saved gas leakage detector. A monitoring device connected communicatively to one or a plurality of such a gas leakage detectors performs gas leak judgment and alarm operation on the basis of the gas concentration detected by the gas leakage detector. As a result of this, since the gas leakage detector can be saved in power so as to be drivable with a battery, and miniaturized, the gas leakage detector can be set, even at a place to which power cannot be supplied, and a more minute gas leakage monitoring action can be performed.
