To provide a gas leakage inspecting plug with a plug tube portion 3 at one end to be connected to a socket, and a screw tube portion 13 at the other end to be threaded and connected to a gas pipe, having a screw cap 2 easy to remove as necessary with no unexpected removal.
The screw tube portion 13 consists of a main tube portion 11 having a male screw portion 15 and a sub tube portion 12 extending to the opening end thereof and having no male screw portion 15. The screw cap 2 for covering the screw tube portion 13 before connected to the gas pipe is integrally formed of a soft synthetic resin as a whole, and it consists of a first cap portion 21 for covering the main tube portion 11 and a second cap portion 22 for covering the sub tube portion 12.
