PURPOSE: To unnecessitate auxiliary heat exchanger by a method wherein only necessary amount of burning gas corresponding to the amount of heat required for the second stage, from the burning gas burned in the first stage burner, is supplied to the second stage burner, the remaining burning gas is supplied to a heat exchanger located at the down stream side of the second stage.
CONSTITUTION: A kerosene is sprayed from a spray nozzle 4, then burnt in a burning chamber 3 under blue frame with an air from an air port 5. The burning chamber 3 is cooled with the air in an outer cylinder 6. Most of a burning gas in the burning chamber 3 is supplied to a burning chamber 16 through a bypass channel 19, cooled with a heat exchanger 17. The remaining burning gas is cooled in a burning gas passage 7 with the air supplied from the outer cylinder 6, adjusted at the temperature required for evaporizing the kerosene supplied from the spray nozzle 12 in the second stage burner. The air including the burning gas in the burning gas passage 7 is supplied to the second stage burner through a secondary air inlet 14, burnt in the burning chamber 16. The heat of the burning gas is exchanged by a heat exchanger 17, then exhausted from an exhaust outlet 18.
