PURPOSE: To provide gasket material by which initial gas leakage is not generated and durability is held even in the case of being used for high surface pressure.

CONSTITUTION: Woven fabric or nonwoven fabric is stuck on both faces of a metal plate spread with adhesives, compounded rubber solution is spread, impregnated, on them and dried, thereafter foaming rubber compound solution is spread on one face side and dried so as to form a non-vulcanized sheet, the opposite side faces of the non-vulcanized sheet to the foaming rubber compound solution spread faces are stuck to each other, and vulcanized under the condition of pressing and heating so as to manufacture the gasket material.
