Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate drive circuit that has a higher degree of freedom in waveform shaping of a gate voltage VGE in an operating state of a compensation circuit, and attenuates a current flowing through a gate resistor and a compensation resistor even in an anomalous state of a control circuit.SOLUTION: The gate drive circuit for applying the gate voltage between a gate terminal and an emitter terminal of a power semiconductor switch S by means of an output of a gate power supply circuit 4 on the basis of a gate signal to thus drive the power semiconductor switch S has a compensation circuit 3 having a series connection circuit of a compensation resistor Rc and a capacitor C. One end of the series connection circuit is connected to the gate terminal G of the power semiconductor switch S. A control circuit 2 applies a positive voltage or a negative voltage to the compensation circuit 3 in accordance with a quantity of state Vdet of a collector-emitter voltage VCE, the gate voltage VGE or a collector current IC of the power semiconductor switch S.
