To provide a gauge rod by which a plurality kinds of ball gauges can be used without changing a ball gauge or a gauge rod.

The gauge rod 20 has a plurality of gage handles 23a, 23b, 23c with total lengths different from each other, which have one ends thereof secured to the ball gauges 21a, 21b, 21c with diameters different from each other and the other ends turnably supported by a shaft supporting portion 22, and bypassing portions 23b-1, 23c-1 bent and formed in the gauge handle 23b, 23c other than the gauge handle 23a with the shortest total length and avoiding the interference with the ball gauges 21 secured to the other gauge handle 23 when arranging the plurality of ball gauges 21 in one line. Further, the ball gauges 21 are secured to the gauge handles 23 such that the their diameters increases as viewed from the shaft supporting portion 22 when they are aligned in a line.
