Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide high-resolution absolute signals at a low cost by using incremental signals with mutually different rough and fine resolution (obtained electrically by using two incremental encoders or either one of them). CONSTITUTION:In an absolute signal generating method, there are a rough counter 7 which inputs a rough incremental signal 5 after discriminating its direction, and a fine counter 16 for inputting a fine incremental signal 14 obtained by successively multiplying the rough incremental signal 5 after discriminating its direction. The content of the fine counter 16 is reset by a LSB signal 7b of the rough counter 7, and the fine incremental signal 14 is inserted between respective LSB signals 7b of the rough counter 7 to be divided.
