Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the subject molding excellent in impact resistance and having uniform physical properties by blending glass fiber in a specified matrix resin. CONSTITUTION:In (A) 100 pts.wt. matrix resin obtained by adding 0.1-50 pts.wt. fluid rubber preferably composed of a copolymer between a silicone rubber and styrene, etc., and having <=1500 poise viscosity at <=100 deg.C to 100 pts.wt. vinyl chloride-based resin, e.g. polyvinyl chloride synthesized, e.g. by bulk, suspension or emulsion polymerization and having 200-2500 average degree of polymerization, (B) 5-70 pts.wt. glass fiber, e.g. an endless glass fiber having >=3mm length and 5-30mum filament diameter is uniformly mixed and the resultant mixture is subsequently pressed, thus obtaining the objective molding.
