Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by the formula (Glc is glucose residue; Ino is inositol residue; n is 0 or an integer of 1W7; Glc-Glc is α-1,4-glycoside bond; Glc-Ino is glycoside bond by hydroxyl group of Glc at the 1-position and hydroxyl group of Ino).

USE: A substrate for measuring amylase activity and growth promoting substance for bacteria of the genus Bifidobacterium.

PREPARATION: For example, cyclodextrin (e.g. β-cyclodextrin, etc.) is reacted with inositol (e.g. myo-inositol, etc.) in the presence of cyclodextrin glucanotransferase derived from Bacillus ohbensis in McIlbane's buffer solution to afford the aimed glucooligosaccharide expressed by the formula.
