Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject inhibiting agent containing the extract of Agrimonia pilosa Ledeb, inhibiting the formation of bacterial plaques, excellent in safety, and suitable for the prevention of periodentosis, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The objective inhibiting agent contains an extract obtained by extracting agrimonia pilosa Ledeb with one or more solvents selected from among chloroform, methanol, ethanol, propylene glycol. 1,3-butylene glycol and water. The inhibiting agent is preferably used in an amount of 0.005-2wt.% based on the whole weight of a food, etc.
