Title:
GLYCOSYLATED PARTICLE OF LATEX OR OF INORGANIC OXIDE, PREPARATION THEREOF AND ITS USE AS AGENT FOR BIOLOGICAL DETECTION OR AFFINITY CHROMATOGRAPHY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3701354
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the titled particle which is excellent in hydrolysis resistance, exhibits interfacial properties such as biological compatibility and is useful as an agent for biomedical diagnosis and affinity chromatography by bonding a chain having a glycosylated residue bonded at the end thereof on the surface of a latex particle or inorganic oxide particle.
SOLUTION: There is provided the aimed particle comprising a latex particle or inorganic oxide particle (A3) with at least one chain (A2) having a glycosylated residue (A1) bonded at the end thereof bonded on the surface thereof. The aimed particle contains on the surface of A3, for example, an amine, thiol or phenol functionality, or a silanol portion when A3 is silica and at least a part of which forms a part of the structure of A2, which has a structure represented by formula I [wherein A is the rest of A2; B is a group of the formula: N-R1 (wherein R1 is H or 1-4C alkyl), O or S; D is a group of the formula: -(CH2)n- (wherein n is 0-10) or phenylene; R3 and R4 are each H or 1-6C alkyl; glyc is a glycosylated residue; and formula II is the surface of A3].
