Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball having a soft cover with a satisfactory abrasive flaw resistance and a preferred combination of a spin speed with durability by providing a cover of the golf ball comprising in olefin, an unsaturated monomer and an ionomer resin and having at least a predetermined coefficient of rebound. SOLUTION: In a golf ball having a core and a cover with an abrasive flaw resistance, the cover has an olefin having 2-8 carbon atoms and an unsaturated monomer of an acrylic ester having 1-21 carbon atoms. Further, the cover comprises at least one element selected from the group consisting of an α,β-ethylene unsaturated monomer or dicarboxylic acid and an ionomer resin formed in a part with an acid neutralized with a cation and over 90wt.% of one kind copolymer having about 40-64 of the whole Shore D hardness, and has at least 0.770 of a rebound factor.
