PURPOSE: To provide a GPS receiver which can speed up scanning and reduce processing in a microprocessor on tracking operation simultaneously.
CONSTITUTION: In the title receiver is provided with a low-pass filter 8 having both a timer for outputting trigger signals and an integration means cleared to 0 by the trigger signals, outputs the signals which are subjected to signal processing for scanning or tracking via the low-pass filter 8, and then adjusts the conditions for scanning or tracking according to the output signal, a plurality of trigger signals with different periods are output from the timer and at the same time a means for selecting the trigger signals supplied to the integration means from them is provided. Since the integration time of the integration means is determined by the period of the trigger signal selected by the selection means, the cut-off frequency of the low-pass filter 8 depending on the integration time of the integration means can be set to various kinds of values by selecting the trigger signals, thus setting the cut-off frequency according to the operation state when the title receiver is in scanning or tracking operation.
