Title:
GRAIN-ORIENTED SILICON STEEL SHEET LOW IN IRON LOSS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3178959
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a grain-oriented silicon steel sheet improved in iron loss by forming a chemically stable coating film imparting a high tension to the sheet on the surface of the sheet.
CONSTITUTION: A composite coating film contg. an amorphous phase consisting essentially of aluminum borate and contg. phosphorus as a component and/or aluminum phosphate is formed on the surface of a grain-oriented silicon steel sheet to lower iron loss. Further, an aluminum borate crystal, AlxByO3(x+y)/2 (0.1≤-(y/x)≤5), especially effective in imparting tension is presented, and the aluminum borate content of the entire coating film is controlled to 30-95%.
