Abstract:
To provide a granular composition that is high in fluidity and excellent in handleability, even if it contains 3-hydroxybutyric acid.SOLUTION: A granular composition containing (poly)3HB containing 3-hydroxybutyric acid and whey protein is prepared. The proportion of the whey protein exceeds 300 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the (poly)3HB. The (poly)3HB may be the 3-hydroxybutyric acid. The 3-hydroxybutyric acid may include R-3-hydroxybutyric acid. The 3-hydroxybutyric acid may be in an amorphous form. In the granular composition, a total amount of the (poly)3HB and the whey protein may be 50 mass% or more in the composition. The granular composition may be substantially free of fats and oils. The granular composition may be a composite particle containing the (poly)3HB and the whey protein. The granular composition may be a protein supplement.SELECTED DRAWING: None
