PURPOSE: To transmit a graphic image and to record the graphic image with the best definition of a recording device without being conscious of the definition of the recording device by transmitting the graphic image with vector data and converting it to raster data with the recording device.

CONSTITUTION: A graphic image forming device 1 converts the graphic image to vector data by the control of a CPU 2, stores it into a vector data buffer memory 6 and forms the graphic image. The formed graphic image is sent via a printer interface 7 through a transmission line 10 to a control part 11 of a recording device. The control part 11 stores the vector data sent by the control of a CPU 14 into a vector data buffer 13. The CPU 14 decodes the vector data of the buffer 13, sends the drawing instruction to a drawing processor 15, develops it to the raster data, stores it into an image memory 16, sends it through a control port 17 to a recording device 18 and executes the recording of the image.
