Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the emission intensity and stability in chemical resistance of a green color glass laser by including a specified laser glass and a band- oscillating laser diode for optical pumping as structural elements.
CONSTITUTION: A fluoroalumino zirconate laser glass (A) is obtd. by mixing AlF3, ZrF4 and YF3, etc., and adding ErF3 and YbF3 thereto, mixing, heating and melting. This laser glass (A) contains 1-4cat% Er3+ as the luminescent center and 8-11cat% Yb3+ as a sensitizer. Then a combination of the glass (A) and a laser diode (B) for optical pumping which gives 0.98μm (or 0.8μm) oscillation line is assembled in a device having a resonator, to which a power supply is connected to manufacture a green color glass laser.
