A concrete block A as a reigning wall for greening purpose has a stay leg 2 made of a steel bar attached with spacers 3 to the rear panel 1c of a concrete block 1 having a channel-shaped plan view and is constituted by attaching a netting body 4 such as wire net to the open end with bolts 5. This block A is stacked along the slope of natural ground, a slide panel is set along the spacer 3, cobble stone is filled between natural ground and gravel, backfilling concrete is poured between the block A and natural ground, the slide panel is pulled out, and the inside of the block A is filled with sediment. In this way plants grown in the sediment come out of the meshes of the netting body 4 and densely cove the whole of the surface of the retaining wall thereby maintaining landscape and natural environment. Also, the concrete block 1 may have a T-shaped plan view.
