Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight planting unit produced at a low cost, and to provide a greening method by which climbing plants such as ivy grown to a prescribed height can be set up on a completed construction so as to be integrated with the planting unit, and applicable to greening on the construction under minimally required maintenance.
SOLUTION: The greening method comprises the following process: arranging a planting unit 1 on related equipment of a building whose rooftop is to be greened, planting climbing plants 5 on the planting unit 1 to grow in a vertical direction, transfering the planting unit 1 where the climbing plants 5 each grows to a prescribed height on the rooftop 4 of the building after completion of the rooftop so as to trace along the vertical direction as shown in Fig. (a). This method enables secure planting and simple maintenance of the climbing plants 5.
