Title:
GRINDING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62251064
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To process dice as works directly into spheres by affixing abrasive grains of diamond to inner walls of a vessel formed rotatable.

CONSTITUTION: A spindle 25 is inclined an appropriate angle θ to a base plate 35. Then a work 22 is supplied into a barrel vessel 20 from a dispenser hole 24 together with a liquid 36 as a grinding aid, and the vessel 20 is rotated by a motor 31. Thereby the work 22 rotates in the vessel 20, and abrasive grains of diamond 21 at the inner wall 20a perform grinding into spheres by and by. At this time, the processing waste prevents contact of the work 22 with abrasive grains 21 from failure through dispersion of the grinding splash by the liquid 36, and drop of the grinding capability is prevented. The liquid 36 prevents collision of the work 22 with the barrel vessel 20 when the former rolls within the latter, and serves also as a buffer for prevention of damage to the work 22. Thus works 22 in any form can be ground into spheres.
