Abstract:
To provide a grinding machine that can grind an object to be ground with high processing accuracy even when accelerating a speed of feeding the object to be ground, and a core material manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A grinding machine 1, which opens one end part in a long axis direction in an object B to be ground in a longitudinal shape and grinds the object while advancing the object in the long axis direction, comprises: a driving device 11 that advances the object B to be ground along the long axis direction while rotating the object around the long axis; a rotary grindstone 211 that has a rotation axis 212 parallel to the long axis and can advance a grinding surface 211a in a substantially cylindrical shape toward the object B to be ground; a bottom plate 311 in a planar shape on which the object B to be ground is placed; and a back plate 41, which is arranged at the opposite side of the rotary grindstone 211 for the object B to be ground, supports the object B to be ground from the opposite side, and inclines in a vertical direction or toward the object B to be ground.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
