Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding machine in which a galling phenomenon and seizure of an abrasive wheel and a bearing upon power failure can be prevented, while preventing complication, enlargement and a cost increase in a constitution.SOLUTION: The grinding machine is provided that comprises: an abrasive wheel 10; a fluid bearing for rotatably supporting the abrasive wheel 10; rotationally driving means 30 for rotating the abrasive wheel 10; a belt 40 for connecting a rotary shaft 11 of the abrasive wheel 10 and a driving rotary shaft 32 of the rotationally driving means 30 with each other; and a tension imparting device 50 for imparting tension to the belt 40. The tension imparting device 50 comprises energization means 51 for tensioning the belt 40 by moving a part of the belt 40 from an original position by electric power, and the energization means 51 releases energization force for moving the belt 40 upon power failure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
