To provide a mixer capable of effectively grinding a lump such as a dehydrated cake or the like to a reutilizable state.
Two parallel mixing shafts 3 and 3' are arranged in a mixing tank 2 and a plurality of arms 10 are arranged to each of the mixing shafts 3 and 3' at a predetermined interval. Grinding-down blades 13, which press a material to the inner wall 16 of the mixing tank 2 to grind down the same, and scratching-off blades 14, which scratch off the material adhering to the inner wall 16 of the mixing tank 2 at the time of grinding down, are screwed in the leading ends of the arms 10 by one blade fixing bolts 15 almost parallel to the mixing shafts 3 and 3'. The angles of the blades 13 and 14 are appropriately adjusted corresponding to the lumpy matter to be treated to effectively grind the lumpy matter. When foreign matter is bitten in the gaps between the blades 13 and 14 and the inner wall 16 of the mixing tank 2 and load is applied to the blades, the blades 13 and 14 are revolved around the blade fixing bolts 15 to allow an impact to escape to prevent the damage of the arms or the shafts.
