PURPOSE: To automatically and easily attach and detach a ground by fixing a ground plate on the tip of a rod of a cylinder via an universal joint.
CONSTITUTION: The cylinder 18 is set up vertically on the lower part between roller conveyors 19 for conveyance in the automatic welding process of the panel for the structure. The ground plate is fixed on the tip of the rod 21 of the cylinder 18 via the universal joint 22. The ground plate is made of copper and pressed on the bottom of a steel plate 4 to constitute a flange. Consequently, even if the steel plate 4 moves vertically or rotates during welding, the ground plate always sticks to the steel plate 4. In addition, even when the steel plate 4 is out of the horizontal level according to deformation of the steel plate 4 or a state of the roller conveyors 19, the ground plate can stick to the steel plate 4 by rotation in the vertical surface of the universal joint 22.
