Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the design of cable strength economical by mounting an equalizing device in a position where vehicles are likely to collide.
CONSTITUTION: At a position where the probability of vehicle collision is high, an equalizing device 5 having a recessed bumper receiving face 8 on the front of a main body 7 is attached to cables 2 stretched between poles 3, 4. The bumper receiving face 8 has a bottom near the height of the center of the group of cables 2 and its portions extending from its upper and lower ends to the bottom are tilted in mutually approaching directions. Therefore, design of the strength of the cables 2 can be made economical.
