Abstract:
A template (12) for a guided cutting system comprising: a substantially planar template (12) having an upper surface (80) and a lower surface (82); said template (12) including an outer peripheral edge (74) and a first groove (84) defined in said upper surface (80) adjacent to and spaced inwardly from said outer peripheral edge (74) for receiving a portion of a cutting tool to guide the cutting tool (10) in a first predetermined cutting path; said template (12) including an open interior area (78) defined by an inner peripheral edge (76) of said template (12); and a second groove (86) defined in one of said upper and lower surfaces (80, 82) of said template (12) located adjacent to and spaced outwardly from said inner peripheral edge (76) for receiving a portion (24, 26) of a cutting tool (10) to guide the cutting tool (10) in a second predetermined cutting path.
