Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition capable of improving tensile strength of hair after treatment useful before waving or straightening out hair, containing specific two kinds of cationic surfactants and a cation polymer in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises (A) 0.1-4.0wt.% of a 12-18C alkyl group-containing water-dispersible dialkyldimethylammonium halide, preferably di(hydrogenated tallow)dimethylammonium halide, (B) about 0.1-2.5wt.% of a 12-18C alkyl group-containing a water-dispersible alkyldimethylbenzylammonium halide, preferably an octadecyldimethylammonium halide, (C) 0.1-2.0wt.% of a water-soluble homopolymer containing a repeating unit of the formula (R and R' are each a 1-3C alkyl) and having 20,000-3,000,000 average molecular weight and (D) <=100wt.% of the rest of water. The preferable blending ratio is 0.2-2.4wt.% of the component A, 0.4-1.5wt.% of the component B and 0.3-1.2wt.% of the component C.
