PURPOSE: To obtain a hair cream capable of forming a melanine pigment on gray hair without causing the rash of the skin of the gray hair nor the staining of the undesired part, and capable of dyeing gray hair by daily work, by compounding tyrosine and tyrosinase separately or in combination with a disoxidation agent.
CONSTITUTION: The objective hair cream is composed of the agent I obtained by adding tyrosine to a cream base such as lanolin, stearic acid, stearyl alcohol, etc., and the agent II obtained by adding tyrosinase to the above cream base, and is applied to the gray hair by mixing the agent I with the agent II before use or by applying one of the agent and then the other agent to the hair. As an alternative form, the hair cream can be produced by adding tyrosine and tyrosinase to the above cream base in combination with a disoxidation agent such as reduced iron or sodium hyposulfite, etc., and the agent is applied to the hair as it is. The reaction of tyrosine with tyrosinase takes place to form melanine, and the pigment is deposited to the gray hair to dye the gray hair to black color. Dyeing of the hair can be carried out without using synthetic pigment liable to cause the rash of the skin.
