PURPOSE: To reduce scattering of hair dust, noise and vibration and to improve the convenience by providing a razor blade performing a reciprocating operation in the longitudinal direction in a housing, and a hair holding member to hold hair perpendicular to the longitudinal direction by the side of razor blade edge.

CONSTITUTION: A razor blade 2 is provided in a housing 1 and is held by a guide part 5 guiding a mounting base 4 on which the razor blade 2 is fixed to the longitudinal direction A. A hair holding member 3 is to hold hair perpendicular to the longitudinal direction A, and is provided by the side of the edge of razor blade in the housing 1. When a gear 8 is rotated by the operation of a motor 9, a fan gear 16 is also rotated, and a fan 15 is rotated to draw hair held by the hair holding member 3 near to the side of razor blade 2 raking it in to ease the hair cut, while hair dust is collected into a hair dust collecting part 17. Thus, hair is cut by the reciprocating operation of razor blade with hair being held by the hair holding member 3, so that the noise, vibration and scattering of hair dust can be reduced.
