Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand held appliance comprising a handle accommodating wires extending from a cable.SOLUTION: An appliance (10) comprises: a body (30); a handle (20) having a first end (22) connected to the body and a second end (24) having a fluid inlet (40); a fluid flow path (400) from the fluid inlet through the handle towards the body; a fan unit (70) for drawing fluid along the fluid flow path; and a cable (50) extending from the second end of the handle for supplying power to the fan unit. Wires (102, 104) extending from the cable are routed along a wall (220) of the handle. The wall of the handle has recesses (224, 226) extending longitudinally along the handle for accommodating the wires extending from the cable. The two recesses are approximately diametrically opposite on the wall.
