Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attain normal pressing operation even if the pressing plate of a handle is opposed to the irregular surface of an article.

CONSTITUTION: A finger 7 for holding an article 8 and a sliding shaft 10 which can be moved forward and backward to and from the article 8 and is stopped in a designated advance position are provided on the base 6 of a handle 3. A pressing plate 11 is installed on the forward end of the sliding shaft 10 through an oscillating mechanism 14 and energized toward the article 8 by a compression spring 13. Thus, if the pressing plate 11 is opposed to the irregular surface of the article 8, the pressing plate 11 is tilted following to the irregular surface of the article 8 so that offset load is not applied to the sliding shaft 10. Further, when the handle is opposed to the holding release position of the article, the article is disposed in a designated position with good accuracy.
