PURPOSE: To obtain a spinning frame ring made of steel, enabling a traveler to be operated at high speed and enabling both a ring and a traveler to have a long lifetime by applying heat treatment for low carbon steel to a ring made of high carbon steel.

CONSTITUTION: This method is to apply heat treatment (e.g. carburizing treatment, nitriding one, carbonitriding one, nitrocarburizing one, cyanidation one and other surface hardening one) for low carbon steel to a ring made of high carbon steel. A spinning ring making break-in easy, enabling the lifetime to be extended and also excellent in oxidation resistance is obtained.
