Title:
HARMFUL SUBSTANCE-REMOVING AGENT AND METHOD FOR REMOVING HARMFUL SUBSTANCE USING IT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3247611
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase harmful substance removing power and to use for a long period of time by a method in which a harmful substance removing agent for removing harmful substances such as nitrogen oxide and organohalogen compounds is formed as grains or moldings composed of at least photosemiconductor, clay, and an organic binder.
SOLUTION: A removing agent is prepared as grains or moldings composed of at least photosemiconductor, clay, and an organic binder, preferably as honeycomb-shaped structures. In this process, the content of the clay is 5-30wt.%, the content of the organic binder is 0.5-20wt.%, and polymer emulsion is used preferably as the binder. The photosemiconductor has an anatase type crystal form, and titanium oxide particles 1-50nm is particle size are used; preferably, titanium oxide carrying zinc oxide and/or zinc hydroxide is used. Adsorbent such as silica and alumina is contained in the removing agent.
